Brief Review of Experience:
Current and recent litigation involves representing national insurers to prosecute and combat workers’ compensation insurance fraud, complex business litigation, commercial landlord tenant, employment related matters, including wage and hour, representing employers and employees, False Claims Act litigation, representation of creditors and commencement of adversary proceedings in bankruptcy forums, foreclosure defense with an emphasis on those involving fraudulent documents, and family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, child support, and alimony.

I have extensive experience in complicated commercial actions involving multiple parties and white-collar fraud.  I have litigated these cases before juries and in bench trials.  These cases took place in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Delaware.  In each jurisdiction, if I was not already admitted to the bar, I participated as lead counsel, via a pro hac vice motion.

My experience in labor, employment and Title VII cases stretches back to 1978 when I began my practice with Community Legal Services in Philadelphia.  My legal services work continued until December 1981, after employment in Legal Services of Eastern Oklahoma, as a staff attorney and with Florida Rural Legal Services, as managing attorney of the Belle Glade and West Palm Beach offices.  I began my first private practice in 1982.

My private practice experience in Title VII litigation was in the private and public sector involving claims based on race, age and sex discrimination, including claims against large resorts, national rental car companies, and against state, local and federal governmental agencies.  I have an extensive background in administrative proceedings.

I have experience in class actions including a civil rights based class action against the State of Pennsylvania while in Legal Services, a class action against a major car rental company regarding sex discrimination against middle level management females, a class action against Palm Beach County seeking integration of the County’s fire department and participation in two multidistrict nationwide class actions against several life insurance companies regarding disparate pricing policies.  I have also represented large groups of plaintiffs (in non-class actions but involving over 200 plaintiffs) in several different cases regarding landlord/tenant issues.  After three years of litigation, I was successful in securing 100% of the unpaid wages and unpaid overtime wages, plus liquidated damages for over 300 plaintiffs, in a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action brought in the United States District Court - Southern District of Florida, against a national company located in St. Lucie County.  I have represented several national insurers, as plaintiffs, seeking redress with regard to fraud issues against individuals and other business entities.
